Taxes = Government? No!
Taxes are anything we pay to access basic services that we cannot thrive without.
It used to be roads and electricity in the manufacturing era.
Now it is Google, Youtube, Gmail/Superhuman, Ultrahuman, Swiggy, Netflix, Apple for their hardware, Jio for their telecom, Uber/etc for transport.
If information is the new oil, these wires are the new highways. They’re certainly not owned by any government.
It is time to see FAANG as a tax-collecting collective.
This is one war that tech is winning.
